Community Event – Adam Booth

Adam Booth will be at the Bolivar Harpers Ferry Public Library October 24, 2019 at 6:00pm to tell frightening tales! Please call or come in to sign up. 304-535-2301. (Must be over 12 years of age due to fright factor). Free Event open to the public.
Adam Booth’s original storytelling blends traditional mountain folklore, music, and an awareness of contemporary Appalachia. A focus on craft propels his handling of story. He has been featured at the International Storytelling Center, the National Storytelling Festival, the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival, the Appalachian Studies Association Conference, the National Storytelling Conference, the National Academy of Medicine, and has been a Spoken Word Resident at the Banff Centre (Alberta). He is a member of the Recording Academy and his recordings have received a Parents’ Choice Gold Award, two Parents’ Choice Silver Honors, and five Storytelling World Awards and Honors. He is a four-time champion of the West Virginia Liars’ Contest.
