Accounting Position – Panhandle Homes of Berkeley County, Inc.

Requires a detail-oriented person who is able to handle multiple duties and priorities with a high level of accuracy.

The successful candidate should possess the following:

*Advanced Accounting Skills
*Advanced Problem Solving Skills
*Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
*Understand financial statements
*Familiar with standard Accounting concepts, practices and procedures

Job Duties to include but not limited to:

*Accounts Payable
*Reconcile General Ledger – identify inconsistencies and resolve
*Record Journal Entries
*Record Accruals
*Record Prepaid Expenses
*Maintain financial schedules
*Maintain Asset and Depreciation Schedules
*Perform month end and quarter end closings
*Ensure accuracy and maintenance of the ledger accounts
*Prepare financial profit/loss statements
*Perform any other duties necessary to support Accounting personnel
*Ability to support other functions in the Accounting Department as needed

All job tasks are to be performed with attention to detail and timely completion.

Job Requirements

Minimum 3 years accounting experience
Must understand and know Accounts Principles (GAAP)
Must give attention to the details
Experience with posting and reconciling to the general Ledger is a plus
Must be able to work independently
Experience with Accounting software
