FULL TIME POLICE DISPATCHER SUPERVISOR
The City of Martinsburg is accepting applications for the position of Full Time Police Dispatcher Supervisor. High school diploma or GED equivalent with specialized course work in general office practices and two (2) years of increasingly responsible related experience, or any equivalent combination of related education and experience. Additional specialized training is desirable.
The successful applicant will be responsible for all clerical, administrative and technical dispatch duties, including but not limited to, receiving and dispatching routine and emergency information; all pertinent record keeping and assisting in the administration of standard operating policies and procedures of the Dispatch Center. This position functions as the supervisor of the Dispatch Center/Dispatch Center staff. Supervisory experience preferred; successful applicant must be a strong leader. Candidates must be able to deal with the public and staff of the Police Department in a calm, rational and reasonable manner in often stressful situations. Must have required dispatch certification or be able to obtain required dispatch certification within 90 days of employment.
Pay Grade 16 (06/28/2020 pay scale) $41,013-$77,925 dependent on qualifications.
