The Berkeley County Public Service Sewer District is seeking motivated individuals to fill the following full-time position.


Responsibilities include handling all electrical requirements for the District facilities including wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, generator sets and office buildings.  Troubleshooting system malfunctions of equipment by providing field service assistance.  Repairing malfunctions by adjusting, calibrating, aligning and or modifying circuitry and components using soldering, de-soldering, wire-wrapping equipment and other similar tools.  Monitor and repairing telemetry systems at lift stations.  Inspecting, testing, adjusting and certify electronic assemblies, subassemblies, parts and systems for compliance with specifications following blueprints, schematic drawings and inspection manuals.  Ensure all work is performed and completed in conformance with regulatory codes, guidelines and standards established by a manufacturer or regulating body.  Maintain daily work log and enter data into preventative maintenance system.  Responds to emergency alarms and calls as required.  Performs general maintenance and upkeep around lift stations, such as vegetation control and general housekeeping as needed.  Must possess up to date knowledge of electrical codes and regulations, troubleshooting capabilities, knowledge of heavy equipment operation and repair. Minimum requirements of five years experience in the Electrical field in a similar capacity or skill level and High School Diploma.  Current driver’s license is required.
