Dr. Veronique N. Walker has over 20 years of experience serving in roles designed to produce reasonable solutions where opportunities for change have existed – roles including a school district associate superintendent, director, and coordinator; a school counselor; and a community in-home therapist/lead family service specialist. As the Associate Superintendent of Equity and Inclusion for Berkeley County Schools, West Virginia, she leads and oversees programs including equity, inclusion, cultural proficiency, multiculturalism, global competency, educating teenage parents (ETAP), Providing Academic and Self-Esteem Support (PASS), and professional learning.
She is a 1995 graduate of Shepherd University where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology. She also earned a master of arts degree in counseling from Marshall University, and a doctor of education degree in organizational leadership and certification in administration and supervision from Shenandoah University. Additionally, Dr. Walker is a licensed professional counselor and a national certified counselor.
Since her tenure as a school district employee (2007), she has had the opportunity to facilitate, co-facilitate, and organize 150+ trainings, workshops, mentoring sessions, and conferences including, and not limited to: professional growth and development; multiculturalism and cultural proficiency; bullying prevention, safety, and anti-harassment; mental health and social services; and child, youth, and adolescent trends.
Dr. Walker values the trait of perseverance – for she has experienced that perseverance is the essence of any desired goal.
I joined the team at the United Way of the Eastern Panhandle in October, 2016 as the Program Associate. In this position, I handle donor pledges, assist with special events, create and distribute campaign materials, and work closely with the team to help develop an effective campaign plan. Prior to this position, I worked as an administrative and communications professional in the energy industry. I graduated from Mountain State University with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership. A native of Washington, D.C., I currently reside with my husband in Gerrardstown, WV.

Saunny is the former Vice President of the F&BP BNI Group and Secretary of the Chad Hammond Memorial Scholarship Fund. She was born and raised in Martinsburg, WV and now resides in Inwood, WV. She is the proud mother of son Tayler Winstead and even more proud to be “Gigi” to his children, Brayden Alexander and Aybree Logan Belle.
