The City of Martinsburg has an immediate opening for a full-time Human Resource Assistant. Position requires an Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Public or Business Administration and a minimum of two years related experience, or any equivalent combination of related education and experience.

Successful candidate will perform general administrative assistant duties requiring above average experience and/or training in computer programs, data entry and management, filing and operating various types of office equipment.

Position requires a high degree of attention to detail, high level of trust, ability to work independently and be professionally compatible with other employees. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the HR function by directing and coordinating HR related activities such as employment compensation, benefits, training, personnel changes, and employee services. This position will encompass all aspects of payroll related activities and benefits administration.
