Berkeley County Development Authority Accepting Resumes for Office Administrator

The Development Authority of Berkeley County is accepting resumes for the position of Office Administrator, via email to [email protected], through Wednesday, September 22nd at 5:00 p.m. EST.

GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK:

Position is responsible for organizing and coordinating office operations and procedures of the Berkeley County Development Authority to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Direction may be provided by the Executive Director or Associate Executive Director.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Extensive knowledge of the operations of the Berkeley County Development Authority. Thorough knowledge of commonly accepted business practices; thorough knowledge of office technology skills; thorough knowledge of proper business English and spelling; thorough knowledge and expertise in the operation of personal computers with word processing and spreadsheet applications; ability to answer inquiries and assist the general public in a courteous manner; ability to organize and assist in a wide variety of projects; ability to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions; ability to supervise a small group of clerical/secretarial personnel possessing a wide variety of skills; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with business representatives, associates, and the general public. Ability to protect confidential information when warranted.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associate Degree in Business Administration or extensive experience in managing the operations of a public service organization. Proficiency in a variety of office products, to include WORD, QuickBooks, and EXCEL.

This position is FLSA Status: Non-Exempt and working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding paid holidays. The salary is negotiable. The Development Authority also offers a competitive benefit package.
